Established in 1959 and incorporated in 1979, Corley Roofing is a family-owned and operated business. John A. Corley — with the support of his wife Dorothy — established and rooted the company and its values. President John Corley and Vice President Rick Corley manage the day-to-day operations. Third-generation Corleys also work in the family business: Rick's two sons handle the majority of the metal work, and John's twin daughters handle office operations and marketing.
We've never advertised on a billboard. We've never franchised. For 65 years we've grown one referral at a time — because that's how a family business survives three generations in Washington.

- 1959
John A. Corley starts Corley Roofing in Temple Hills, Maryland. His wife Dorothy manages the office. The company serves the growing DC suburbs.
- 1979
Corley Roofing & Sheet Metal Co., Inc. is formally incorporated. The business grows into a full-service roofing and sheet metal operation.
- 1997
BBB Accreditation achieved — a standard Corley has maintained for 27 consecutive years.
- 2005
Dorothy Corley retires after decades of managing the office. The second generation — John D. and Rick Corley — take full operational control.
- 2008–2020
Angi Super Service Award — thirteen consecutive years across Roofing, Gutter Repair & Replacement, Gutter Cleaning, Siding, and Skylights.
